Jake Jayworth is the head men's and women's cross country coach at Fairfield University in Fairfield, Connecticut, where he has led the Stags program since his appointment in August 2022 and was set to begin his fourth season in fall 2025.
Under Jayworth, Fairfield reached a milestone in 2024 when Hannah Snayd became the first runner in program history to win the individual MAAC Championship. Snayd also earned MAAC Most Outstanding Runner and Rookie of the Year honors, was named Fairfield University Women's Rookie of the Year, and added an ECAC title against a field that included runners from programs such as Yale, UMass, Seton Hall, Fordham, St. Joseph's, and Harvard.
