Jake Fire is the assistant nickels coach for the University of Massachusetts Amherst football program in Amherst, Massachusetts. He joined the UMass staff in spring 2024 as a defensive analyst and moved into his current position for the 2025 season.
Before arriving at Massachusetts, Fire worked at the University of Rhode Island in a defensive quality control role with the defensive backs and linebackers. At UMass, he has been part of the development of linebacker Tyler Martin, a 2025 All-MAC Third Team selection and a Phil Steele 2026 Preseason All-MAC First Team honoree.
