Jackie McKenna
Assistant Coach
Jackie McKenna serves as an Assistant Coach for the Rollins College softball program, joining the Tars’ staff following an accomplished collegiate playing career at Mississippi State University. At Rollins, she contributes to player development, skill instruction, and daily program operations, bringing recent high-level Division I playing experience into the dugout. Her background as a versatile position player provides a well-rounded perspective in working with hitters, catchers, and outfielders, as well as supporting game preparation and team culture within the Sunshine State Conference.
McKenna competed in the Southeastern Conference for five seasons at Mississippi State, appearing in more than 200 career games as a catcher, designated player, and outfielder. In her final season in 2023, she recorded a .997 fielding percentage, tied for the second-best single-season mark in program history, and ranked among team leaders in RBIs and doubles. She was widely recognized for her performance in high-pressure games against nationally ranked opponents and earned numerous academic and service honors, including multiple NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete selections, SEC Honor Roll recognition, a spot on the SEC Community Service Team, and the MSU Dowsing-Bell Perseverance Award. A native of Parkland, Florida, McKenna starred at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School and played club softball with the New Jersey Intensity. She holds a bachelor’s degree in criminology and a master’s degree in workforce educational leadership.
