Jack Burton

Associate Head Coach

Jack Burton joined the Auburn Volleyball staff in July 2023 and currently serves as Associate Head Coach. In his first three seasons on the Plains, Burton has helped guide the Tigers to a 51-34 record, highlighted by the program’s third-ever NCAA Tournament appearance in 2023. His impact has been particularly evident in Auburn’s offensive and defensive development. The Tigers set a single-season program record with a .248 hitting percentage, and the 2025 squad established a new benchmark by averaging 2.71 blocks per set, the highest single-season mark in program history. Burton’s technical instruction and emphasis on system efficiency have played a key role in Auburn’s continued rise within the SEC. Prior to Auburn, Burton helped lead Florida Gulf Coast to a 26-7 record and an Atlantic Sun Conference Tournament title, earning the program’s third NCAA Tournament berth. FGCU recorded 17 sweeps, a power-five victory over Maryland, and a season-best RPI of 31 during his tenure. He also spent two seasons as a volunteer assistant at Dayton, contributing to the Flyers’ highest-ever AVCA ranking (No. 26) and the development of multiple All-Americans and conference award winners. A former standout outside hitter at Grand Canyon University, Burton captained the Lopes and earned MIVA Academic All-Conference honors. He holds a bachelor’s degree in exercise science with an emphasis in sports performance training.
