Hogan Arey is an assistant coach for the Oregon State women’s golf program, joining the staff in September 2025. A Corvallis native with deep ties to the university and local golf community, Arey brings a blend of coaching experience and competitive playing background to the Beavers. Prior to joining Oregon State, he worked as a golf professional at Trysting Tree Golf Club, where he developed a reputation for individualized instruction across all skill levels. His coaching focuses on swing mechanics, short-game development, mental performance, and tournament preparation, all of which contribute to the continued growth of Oregon State’s student-athletes.
Arey was a standout collegiate golfer at the University of Louisiana-Monroe, where he served as a three-time team captain and earned All-Louisiana and All-Sun Belt Conference honors. He recorded multiple top-10 finishes and helped lead his team to several tournament titles, finishing his career with one of the top scoring averages in program history. His strong foundation in competitive golf began in Oregon, where he was a decorated high school player and state champion. With strong family ties to Oregon State athletics and the Corvallis golf community, Arey brings both personal connection and professional expertise to his role, supporting the program’s continued success at the conference and national levels.
