Henry Weinreich is the nickels/sams coach for West Virginia football in Morgantown, West Virginia, and is in his second season on the Mountaineers' staff. In 2025, West Virginia's defense ranked among the national leaders in tackles for loss, fumbles recovered, turnovers gained and sacks. Nickel/safety Fred Perry also posted strong production, finishing among the national leaders in fumbles recovered while ranking among the Big 12's top players in forced fumbles, tackles for loss and total tackles.
Weinreich joined West Virginia after working at Oklahoma as a defensive analyst alongside defensive coordinator Zac Alley. There, he focused on the linebackers and safeties, handled opponent breakdowns and scouting reports, and contributed to the development of two All-SEC selections, including consensus All-American Danny Stutsman. Before Oklahoma, he spent 2020-23 at Jacksonville State, first as a graduate assistant and later as a defensive analyst working with the linebackers, while also overseeing scouting and opponent analysis. Jacksonville State produced three all-conference players during his time there.
