Hannah Campbell
Associate Head Coach
Hannah Campbell is the Associate Head Coach for the University of South Alabama softball program and a former Jaguar All-American pitcher. Now in her 10th season on staff, Campbell returned to Mobile in 2015 after playing professionally with the Akron Racers in National Pro Fastpitch. In her coaching role, she leads pitcher development and supports pitch calling and game strategy, while also assisting head coach Becky Clark with scouting, film breakdown, recruiting, and day-to-day player development. She additionally helps manage program initiatives such as alumni relations, communications, camps, and various operational needs that support the Jaguars’ competitive and culture-building goals.
Campbell’s impact is evident in the sustained success of South Alabama’s pitching staff, including multiple Sun Belt Pitcher of the Week honors and postseason recognition for Jaguar pitchers during her tenure. Her coaching era has included the development of award-winning arms such as Devin Brown and Olivia Lackie, with Lackie earning NFCA All-America honors and conference accolades while setting program marks. Before coaching, Campbell built one of the most decorated playing careers in program history. A standout left-hander from Satsuma, Alabama, she earned multiple All-Region honors, was named Sun Belt Freshman of the Year, and became the first South Alabama softball player—and the first South Alabama female student-athlete—to be drafted professionally when she was selected third overall in the 2014 NPF Draft. In 2019, Campbell and former teammate Brittany Fowler were inducted into the University of South Alabama Athletic Hall of Fame, reflecting the lasting significance of her contributions as both a player and coach.
