Greg Pieczynski is the head coach of men's golf at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia, a position he has held since January 31, 2020, when he became the fourth coach in program history.
Since taking over, Pieczynski has overseen steady gains for the Patriots. George Mason was ranked No. 232 nationally when he assumed the job in early 2020, and the program rose to No. 164 in the fall 2022 rankings. By 2023-24, the Patriots posted a 55 percent winning percentage, finished in the top 10 in all 11 tournaments, and recorded three top-three team finishes, including second at the Golden Horseshoe Intercollegiate. They also opened the fall with a third-place result at the Red Bandana Invitational and placed fifth at the Redhawk Invitational at Chambers Bay in the spring. George Mason finished fifth among Atlantic 10 programs in the final SCOREBOARD national rankings that season.
