Greg Long is an assistant coach for the University of Pittsburgh women's basketball team in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, joining the program for the 2026-27 season after one year at Charleston, where the Cougars earned the first NCAA Tournament berth in school history.
Before Charleston, Long was the head coach at Mississippi College for five seasons, producing two winning records and three conference tournament appearances. He also served as head coach at Arkansas-Monticello in 2019-20, when the team went 20-11, posted its best start since 1977, and reached 20 wins for the first time in more than 10 years. From 2015 to 2019, he was associate head coach at Central Arkansas, where the Bears went 91-37, won four Southland Conference Tournament titles, recorded three 25-win seasons, and reached the 2018 WBI Championship game. Long began his college coaching career at Delta State, his alma mater, and he and his wife, Jill, have two children, Aubree and Clay.
