Graham Carpenter
Assistant Coach
Graham Carpenter joined the UCLA Bruins swimming and diving coaching staff on June 9, 2025, as an assistant coach under Head Coach Jordan Cordry. He arrives in Westwood after three seasons at Ohio State University (including two years as a full-time assistant) where he helped guide both the women’s and men’s teams to national finishes and co-developed freshman athletes into Big Ten Freshman of the Year honorees. During the 2024-25 season, he contributed to Ohio State’s women’s team finishing 14th at the NCAA Championships and the men’s side finishing 16th.
Carpenter’s broader coaching experience includes stints at Anderson University (where he served as interim head coach), John Carroll University, and as a volunteer assistant at Ohio State. He graduated from Ball State University in 2021 with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and criminology, competed one season on the swim team at Ball State, and then earned a graduate certificate in non-profit administration from John Carroll in 2022. His background encompasses athlete-development, data-driven training, recruiting coordination and logistics—making him a versatile asset for UCLA’s evolving swimming and diving program.
