Glenn Wilkes Jr.
Head Coach
Glenn Wilkes Jr. is one of the most accomplished figures in NCAA Division II women’s basketball, serving as the Head Coach of the Rollins College women’s basketball program since 1986-87. Over more than three decades at the helm, Wilkes has compiled a remarkable career record, making him the winningest coach in Sunshine State Conference history with 13 regular-season titles and eight conference tournament championships. Through the 2024-25 season, his teams have achieved a 762-349 record, which ranks him among the top active coaches in all divisions and places him high on the all-time wins list. Under his leadership, Rollins has made 15 NCAA Tournament appearances, including a historic South Region championship and Final Four run in 2012 — the deepest postseason advance by any SSC team. Wilkes has been honored repeatedly, including nine SSC Coach of the Year awards and the WBCA Division II National Coach of the Year title in 2005-06.
A fourth-generation coach and son of legendary Stetson coach Glenn Wilkes Sr., Wilkes Jr. brings a deep basketball pedigree to his work. A former standout player at Stetson, he began his coaching career shortly after graduating and transitioned into a lifelong vocation of mentoring student-athletes. Wilkes’ tenure at Rollins is marked not only by team success but also by consistent player development, highlighted by multiple All-America honorees and conference Players of the Year. Beyond the wins and titles, his impact extends into the academic and personal growth of his players, solidifying his legacy as both a strategist and a leader.
