Geoffrey Diehl
Head Coach
Geoffrey Diehl was promoted to head coach of the Drew University men’s and women’s tennis programs in July 2024 after serving three years as the top assistant. Since graduating from Drew in 2021, Diehl has played a key role in one of the most successful stretches in program history. During his time on staff, the Rangers have captured four Landmark Conference titles, including a men’s and women’s sweep in 2023. Over the past three seasons, the teams have combined for a remarkable 55-3 record against Landmark opponents, with the women posting a perfect 29-0 mark in conference play. The women’s team has also advanced past the opening round of the NCAA Division III Championships in each of the last two years. Under his guidance, 16 student-athletes have earned 40 All-Landmark Conference honors, including multiple Players of the Year on both the men’s and women’s sides.
A standout student-athlete from 2016–21, Diehl capped his collegiate career by leading Drew to its first Landmark Conference title in eight years in 2021. As the No. 1 singles player, he clinched the conference championship match victory and earned Championship MVP honors. He finished his career with a 71-19 doubles record — setting Drew and Landmark Conference records for doubles wins — along with a 43-21 singles mark. A six-time All-Landmark selection and the 2017 Co-Rookie of the Year, Diehl returned to his alma mater immediately after graduation and continues to build upon the program’s championship tradition.
