Gene Peluso
Head Coach
Gene Peluso is a veteran collegiate lacrosse coach currently in his 17th season guiding the Stevens Institute of Technology men’s lacrosse program. Over his tenure at Stevens he has compiled a highly successful 216–72 record, establishing himself as the most successful coach in program history and steering the Ducks to nine NCAA Tournament appearances, multiple conference championships, and numerous All-American selections. Under his leadership, Stevens has consistently been a national contender in Division III men’s lacrosse, winning both regular season and tournament titles in the MAC Freedom and Empire 8 Conferences and advancing past the first round of the NCAA tournament multiple times.
Before arriving at Stevens, Peluso already had extensive coaching experience, including a successful seven-season stint as head coach at Rochester Institute of Technology where he posted an 88–45 mark and helped develop many All-Americans. Over his career, Peluso has coached scores of USILA All-Americans and Scholar All-Americans, earned multiple Coach of the Year honors, and ranks among the most prolific active coaches in Division III lacrosse. His influence extends beyond wins and losses; he has served on national lacrosse committees and contributed to the broader lacrosse community. Peluso also played collegiately at Nazareth College, and remains active in fostering lacrosse growth at all levels.
