Garrett Altman serves as Offensive Coordinator for Arkansas State University's Football program in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Arkansas State head coach Butch Jones has named Vanderbilt quarterbacks coach Garrett Altman as the Red Wolves offensive coordinator ahead of the 2026 season. Altman has spent the last two seasons with the Commodores as the quarterbacks coach alongside offensive coordinator Tim Beck.
Before his stint at Vanderbilt, Altman was an offensive analyst for two seasons at New Mexico State (2022-23) and a graduate assistant for four seasons (2018-21) at TCU. Altman worked with Heisman Trophy runner-up and Johnny Unitas Golden Arm winner Diego Pavia, who has accounted for a school-record 4,018 yards of total offense and 36 touchdowns this season. A second-team All-America choice by the Associated Press, Pavia has thrown for 3,192 yards and 27 scores – both school records – while rushing for a team-high 826 yards and nine touchdowns. The signal-caller helped the Commodores lead all FBS programs in points per play and rank second among Power 4 schools in points per drive.
