Gareth Elliott is the head coach of the University of Rhode Island men's soccer program in Kingston, Rhode Island, and entered his 13th season in that position in 2025. A native of Belfast, Northern Ireland, he has been connected to seven of Rhode Island's eight Atlantic 10 championship teams, contributing to title-winning squads as a player, assistant coach, and head coach.
Elliott returned to Rhode Island as head coach in 2013 after five seasons leading Siena from 2008 through 2012. His overall record with the Rams reached 102-77-30, making him the third coach in program history to surpass 100 victories. After an 0-8 conference mark in his first year back at URI, his teams went 43-31-11 in Atlantic 10 play over the following 12 seasons and posted winning league records in 10 of those years.
