Fred Lemongo has served as head coach of the Hofstra University women's tennis program in Hempstead, New York, since October 2025. A native of Cameroon, he arrived at Hofstra after more than 15 years of coaching experience across multiple levels of tennis. Before joining the Pride, he led the juniors program at the Country Club of Virginia during the 2024-25 season, overseeing more than 250 active junior players while directing curriculum, supervising tennis professionals, coordinating league play and special events, and managing program operations.
Earlier in his coaching career, Lemongo was an assistant men's tennis coach at Campbell University from 2019 to 2021, where he worked on recruiting, individualized training plans, and team operations. He also spent five seasons as assistant women's tennis coach at the University of Louisiana Monroe. During his time there, ULM won the 2017 Sun Belt Conference Championship, reached an ITA Division I national ranking of No. 50, advanced regularly to the conference tournament semifinals, and produced multiple all-conference players.
