Fred Castro serves as Associate Women's Basketball Head Coach / Offensive Coordinator for Mississippi State University's Basketball (Women's) program in Starkville, Mississippi. He joined the Bulldogs in April 2024 and works as the program's offensive coordinator while also handling opponent scouting, play-calling, and in-game offensive adjustments.
Before arriving in Starkville, Castro spent eight seasons as head coach at Eastern Michigan and built a reputation as an accomplished offensive coach. His time on Mississippi State's staff has already coincided with NCAA Tournament participation, top-15 wins, and the development of all-conference and all-freshman performers.
