Forrest Rhyne is the assistant coach for linebackers at Villanova University in Villanova, Pennsylvania, and joined the Wildcats staff for the 2025 season. A standout former Villanova linebacker, he returned to his alma mater after a professional playing career that included time in the NFL with the Indianapolis Colts. He also handles recruiting responsibilities in eight Pennsylvania districts: 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10.
Rhyne was one of the most decorated linebackers in program history. In 2021, his final collegiate season, he recorded 154 total tackles, the highest total by any FBS or FCS player in the country, and finished second in the voting for the Buck Buchanan Award, given to the top defensive player in the FCS. He was a three-time All-CAA first-team selection and the CAA Defensive Player of the Year in 2021. Over his Villanova career, he totaled 309 tackles, 25.5 tackles for loss, and 13 sacks.
