Evan Moorhouse has served as director of player development for the University of Massachusetts Amherst men's ice hockey program in Amherst, Massachusetts, since June 2026. A native of western Massachusetts, he arrived at UMass after several years at Brown, where he was most recently an assistant coach and director of operations for the men's program. He joined Brown in January 2020 as director of operations for both the men's and women's hockey teams and later added work with the Bears' goaltenders.
Brown's goaltending group produced a .920 combined save percentage in 2024-25, the program's best mark since 2012-13. Goaltender Lawton Zacher also emerged as one of the league's top netminders under Moorhouse's guidance, earning Brown's First Year Male Athlete of the Year honor after the 2023-24 season and later receiving ECAC second-team recognition and national award consideration.
