Eryc Pittman
Assistant Coach
Eryc Pittman enters his third season as an assistant coach with the University of South Alabama women’s basketball program, where he primarily works with the Jaguars’ post players. He has contributed to the development of key frontcourt talent, including Daniela Gonzalez, who led the team in made three-pointers, total rebounds, blocks, and assists in a recent season. Pittman brings a diverse coaching background and a reputation for player development, scouting, and recruiting, helping strengthen the program’s competitive foundation in the Sun Belt Conference.
Prior to joining South Alabama, Pittman spent two seasons at Austin Peay, helping guide the Governors to a 37–25 combined record and a Women’s Basketball Invitational appearance in 2022. He previously served six seasons at Jacksonville State under former South Alabama head coach Rick Pietri, where he coordinated scouting reports and recruiting efforts while working closely with perimeter players. His coaching résumé also includes stops at Brewton-Parker College as associate head men’s coach, Belmont Abbey College as assistant coach and recruiting coordinator during a 22–9 season and NCAA Division II Tournament run, and Eastern Kentucky as a graduate assistant. A native of Akron, Ohio, Pittman co-founded the nonprofit “Ladies First,” which supports girls’ youth basketball and academic achievement. He earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Hampton University and a master’s degree in sports administration from Eastern Kentucky.
