Erin Grant is the assistant head coach for the West Virginia University women's basketball team in Morgantown, West Virginia, and joined the Mountaineers on April 14, 2023. She entered her fourth season on staff in 2026-27 after contributing to one of the strongest stretches in program history.
Across her first three seasons at West Virginia, the Mountaineers won 78 games and recorded three consecutive 25-win campaigns. The 2025-26 team captured the program's second Big 12 Tournament championship, earned an automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament, advanced to the second round, and finished No. 18 in the national rankings after climbing as high as No. 11. West Virginia also placed a player on a WNBA opening-night roster for the second straight year. In 2024-25, the Mountaineers finished fourth in the Big 12, reached the NCAA Tournament for the 16th time, advanced to the second round, and remained in the AP Top 25 all season before ending at No. 21. In Grant's first year, West Virginia won 25 games, the most by a first-year staff in school history, placed fourth in the conference, returned to the NCAA Tournament, and closed the season ranked No. 24.
