Erin Batth is the head coach of the Providence College women's basketball team in Providence, Rhode Island, and enters the 2026-27 season as she begins her fourth year leading the program. Providence named her the 11th head coach in team history on March 20, 2023, and she became the first Black woman to hold the position.
Under Batth, the Friars showed clear progress by the 2025-26 season. Providence posted 15 overall victories and seven BIG EAST wins, both the program's best totals since 2018-19. The team earned the No. 7 seed in the BIG EAST Tournament and reached the quarterfinals after a 69-55 first-round win over DePaul. Providence also recorded its first four-game conference winning streak since 1996. That season, graduate transfer guard Sabou Gueye was a unanimous All-BIG EAST First Team selection after her lone year with the Friars, becoming the program's first first-team honoree since Chelsea Marandola in 2010 and only the second in more than 30 years.
