Eric Wolf
Head Coach
Eric Wolf is the second head coach in the history of the NJIT men’s lacrosse program and will enter his fourth season with the Highlanders in 2026 after being named to the position in June 2022. An America East alumnus with nearly 15 years of collegiate coaching experience, Wolf brought immediate credibility and a proven offensive pedigree to a young Division I program. Since his arrival, NJIT has achieved multiple program milestones, including its best season to date in 2024, when the Highlanders finished 8–6 and opened the year with a historic 7–0 start. That season also marked NJIT’s first time receiving votes in the Inside Lacrosse and USILA Coaches’ polls, along with multiple all-conference, academic, and national recognitions for student-athletes.
Prior to NJIT, Wolf spent five seasons as head coach at LIU and LIU Post, overseeing the program’s transition from Division II to Division I following the university merger. Across five seasons, he compiled a 35–29 overall record, led teams to conference championship games, and qualified for multiple postseason tournaments. Before becoming a head coach, Wolf served as an assistant coach and offensive coordinator at Harvard, UAlbany, and Siena. At UAlbany, he directed one of the most prolific offenses in Division I history, setting national single-season records in goals, assists, and points in 2015 while coaching two-time Tewaaraton Award winner Lyle Thompson. A native of Baldwin, New York, Wolf was a four-year player at UAlbany, helping the Great Danes win three America East titles and earn three NCAA Tournament appearances. He earned his bachelor’s degree in sociology from Albany in 2007.
