Eric Martin is an assistant coach for George Mason University women's volleyball in Fairfax, Virginia. Returning to the program, he combines more than 30 years of playing experience with more than eight years of club coaching work that has included floater, assistant, and head coaching roles. His background around the sport has shaped an approach centered on teaching fundamentals, process, volleyball IQ, and team play, while adapting instruction to how individual players learn.
Martin has an extensive adult playing résumé. He has competed for many years in the CHRVA region and has won regional titles at multiple levels, earning All-Tournament recognition on several occasions. He has also played in USA Volleyball Adult Nationals for more than 20 years and has competed in U.S. professional leagues including the PVL, NVA, and the Volleyball League of America. A longtime member of Team LVC in the VLA, he also serves as the league's creative director.
