Eric Carcich is the head coach of women's rowing at the University of Massachusetts Amherst in Amherst, Massachusetts, a position he has held since July 17, 2019. A 1996 UMass graduate, he returned to Amherst after leading the Cornell women's rowing program and entered his seventh season with the Minutewomen in 2025-26.
Since taking over at UMass, Carcich has overseen the program's rise within the Atlantic 10, moving from a fourth-place finish to second and totaling 12 medals across five conference championships, excluding the canceled Covid season. During his tenure, the roster also expanded internationally, with athletes representing more than 12 countries, and he has led the program into its transition to the Mid-American Conference.
