Erica Mehalick
Head Coach
Erica Mehalick, a 2003 Drew graduate and 2019 inductee into the Drew Athletics Hall of Fame, enters her ninth year as head softball coach in 2025–26. She also serves as Drew’s Senior Woman Administrator and advisor to the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC). Under her leadership, the Rangers have enjoyed one of the most successful stretches in program history, including four consecutive 20-win seasons and a return to the Landmark Conference Championship tournament in 2025 for the first time in a non-Covid season since 2008. Her teams have set multiple program and conference records, including stolen bases and walks, while consistently earning NFCA All-Region and All-Landmark Conference honors. The Rangers have also excelled academically, ranking among the top Division III programs nationally in team GPA.
Prior to returning to her alma mater, Mehalick spent nine seasons as head coach at Stevens Institute of Technology, transitioning the program from club to NCAA varsity status and compiling 157 victories with five Empire 8 postseason appearances. She was named Empire 8 Coach of the Year in 2014 following a 30-win season. As a standout pitcher at Drew, Mehalick threw the first perfect game and first two no-hitters in program history and ranks among the school’s all-time leaders in wins, innings pitched, ERA, and strikeouts. She holds a degree in economics from Drew and a master’s in sports administration from Fairleigh Dickinson University, and she remains active in the National Fastpitch Coaches Association.
