Emily Schaffer
Hitting/Outfield Coach
Emily Schaffer enters her fourth season as Seton Hall University’s hitting and outfield coach in 2026, continuing to elevate the Pirates’ offensive production within the BIG EAST Conference. Since arriving in South Orange in August 2021, Schaffer has overseen some of the most prolific seasons in program history. The team also established single-game records for runs (23), walks (14), and margin of victory in a dominant win over Wagner. Multiple players achieved individual milestones under her guidance, including record-setting performances in walks, runs scored, RBI, doubles, and career totals.
During her second season on staff, Schaffer helped guide the Pirates to one of their strongest offensive campaigns ever, as the team set single-season records in runs (332), hits (498), RBI (307), doubles (91), and walks (195). Seton Hall led the BIG EAST in batting average (.306), slugging percentage, runs, hits, RBI, home runs, and total bases. Prior to joining the Pirates, Schaffer spent three seasons as an assistant coach at Post University, helping the Eagles to a 49-34 record and a CACC Semifinal appearance in 2021. A standout hitter at Post, she ranks among the program’s career leaders in hits, doubles, home runs, and RBI, earning All-CACC and All-East Region honors. Schaffer holds an MBA in Management and Operations and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Post University.
