Emily Maxwell is an assistant coach for Temple University women's rowing in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She arrived at Temple after coaching and administrative work at several rowing programs, including Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta Rowing Club, Orlando Area Rowing Society, and Sarasota Scullers.
At Georgia Tech, Maxwell led the varsity men's and women's programs and guided the women's varsity 4+ and men's varsity 4+ to medal finishes at the Head of the Schuylkill, Head of the Hooch, and the Southern Intercollegiate Rowing Association regatta. She later led both squads to additional medals across fall and spring competition. Before that, she coached at Sarasota Scullers, where the lightweight girls 8+ won a state championship and earned the program's first national appearance in more than a decade. Boats under her direction also won state titles in the girls freshman 2x, boys varsity 2x, and girls varsity 2-.
