Dwayne Hultquist
Head Coach
Dwayne Hultquist has been the head coach of the Florida State men’s tennis program for over two decades, guiding the Seminoles to sustained success and national relevance. Under his leadership, FSU has made consistent NCAA Tournament appearances, developed multiple All-Americans, and competed at the highest levels of the ACC. In 2024, the team captured its first-ever ACC Championship under his direction, defeating No. 2 Virginia in the finals. Before arriving at FSU, Hultquist built a foundation in coaching elsewhere (including serving eight years as assistant coach at the University of Texas), where he was involved in recruiting, program operations, and helping lead the Longhorns to multiple conference titles and NCAA Tournament runs. As a player, he was a four-year letterman at Penn State, where in 1986 he captained the team and earned all-conference honors in both singles and doubles. Off the court, he is married to Angela (née White), and together they have five children: Devan, Avery, Addison, Mackenzie, and Blake.
