Dru Joyce III is the head coach of the Duquesne University men's basketball team in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He was appointed in March 2024 as the 18th head coach in program history after serving two seasons on the Duquesne staff as associate head coach under Keith Dambrot.
Joyce, an Akron, Ohio, native, spent the 2022-23 and 2023-24 seasons as Duquesne's associate head coach. Over those two years, the Dukes went 45-25 overall and 20-16 in Atlantic 10 play. Duquesne reached the 2023 College Basketball Invitational and then broke through in 2024 by winning the Atlantic 10 Championship. The Dukes secured the league's automatic NCAA Tournament bid by winning four games in five days in Brooklyn and then advanced to the NCAA field for the program's first tournament appearance since 1977. As an 11 seed, Duquesne also earned its first NCAA Tournament win since 1969 with a victory over BYU in Omaha.
