Drew Headlee is an assistant wrestling coach at the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and is entering his 13th season on the Panthers' coaching staff. A longtime figure in both Pitt wrestling and the Western Pennsylvania wrestling community, he has been part of a staff that has produced conference champions, NCAA qualifiers, and All-Americans. His work has included the development of wrestlers such as two-time ACC champion Micky Phillippi and 2022 NCAA All-American Cole Matthews. Alongside head coach Keith Gavin, he also helped recruit and develop Nino Bonaccorsi, who won the 2023 NCAA title and became Pitt's first national champion since Gavin in 2008.
During Headlee's time on staff, Pitt has won two ACC dual titles, including one in 2022-23, and the program has posted six straight top-30 finishes at the NCAA Championships. The 2021 team placed 11th nationally, with Bonaccorsi and three-time ACC champion Jake Wentzel both reaching the NCAA finals and earning All-America honors.
