Dr. Rick Schavone is the head diving coach for the University of New Hampshire women's swimming and diving program in Durham, New Hampshire. A 1971 New Hampshire graduate and UNH Hall of Famer, Schavone returned to New England after more than 35 years at Stanford, where he helped build one of the nation's top all-around diving programs.
Schavone was a four-time NCAA Diving Coach of the Year and an eight-time Pac-12 Diving Coach of the Year at Stanford. He coached divers to 12 NCAA titles and six runner-up finishes, and he served on Team USA's Olympic coaching staff at the 2012 Games after two of his divers earned their first Olympic berths. At those Olympics, Kristian Ipsen won bronze in the 3-meter synchronized event and Cassidy Krug placed seventh on the 3-meter springboard.
