Dr. Brandon Reeves
Head Coach
Dr. Brandon Reeves begins his first season as head women’s volleyball coach at Alabama A&M University after serving as an assistant during the 2023 campaign. A veteran coach with more than 16 years of experience, Reeves has compiled a 304-172 career record with head coaching stops at Edward Waters, Chicago State, Concordia College (Ala.), and Rust College. At Edward Waters, he guided the Lady Tigers to a 51-18 mark over two seasons, including an 18-2 conference record and SIAC Regular Season Championship in 2022. That season, he coached the SIAC Player of the Year and earned recognition from the American Volleyball Coaches Association for surpassing 300 career wins. He also led the program to its first GCAC Championship and NAIA National Tournament appearance while adding a men’s conference championship during his tenure.
Reeves previously spent five seasons as head coach at Chicago State, where his teams achieved program milestones including the highest WAC win total and RPI in school history, along with victories over Rutgers and competitive matches against Oklahoma and California. He also served as Associate Athletic Director for Business and Internal Operations and Chief Financial Officer at CSU, overseeing a $9.2 million budget. Earlier in his career, Reeves found success at Concordia and Rust, leading multiple national tournament appearances and earning national rankings. A Lane College graduate, Reeves holds advanced degrees from Tennessee State University and Northcentral University and completed executive leadership studies at Cornell University. He is CAP I & II and USA Volleyball IMPACT certified and has coached internationally in several countries.
