Douglas Beavers is the assistant coach for diving for George Mason University's men's and women's swimming and diving program in Fairfax, Virginia, and enters his third season with the Patriots in 2025-26.
A George Mason graduate, Beavers earned a B.A. in English composition in 1992 and has spent more than 35 years coaching divers in NCAA, NAIA, USA Diving, and AAU competition. He began coaching with the Northern Virginia Dive Club in 1988, joined the University of South Carolina as an assistant diving coach in 1994, and in 1996 launched a youth diving program for the City of St. Peters, Missouri that became a strong producer of NCAA talent.
