DJ Pinton
Head Coach
DJ Pinton enters his 22nd season as head coach of the Ramapo College men’s soccer program, having compiled a 192-136-47 overall record during his tenure. Since taking over in 2004 after serving four years as an assistant, Pinton has guided the Roadrunners to sustained success in NJAC competition. He led the program to its first-ever NJAC Tournament Championship during the 2020-21 season, finishing with a perfect 3-0 record in the tournament and earning a No. 7 national ranking in the final United Soccer Coaches Top 25 poll. Over the years, he has mentored 83 NJAC All-Conference selections, including multiple Players of the Year, Goalkeepers of the Year, and Defensive Players of the Year. Pinton has been named NJAC Coach of the Year three times (2019, 2020, 2022), highlighting his leadership and program-building impact.
A former standout player for Ramapo from 1995-98, Pinton helped lead the Roadrunners to their first ECAC title and NCAA Tournament appearance. He earned consecutive NJAC First Team All-Conference honors, Mid-Atlantic Regional All-American recognition, and was named Ramapo College Athlete of the Year in 1997. Inducted into the Ramapo College Athletic Hall of Fame in 2006, Pinton also gained international experience training with Italian professional club A.C. Arezzo. Beyond the collegiate level, he remains active in youth development as Director of Cosmos Soccer Camps and a club coach, continuing to shape the sport at multiple levels.
