Derek Kief is the assistant wide receivers coach for the University of Maryland football program in College Park, Maryland. He joined Maryland in April 2024 as an offensive analyst and was promoted to his current position before the 2025 season.
In 2024, Kief worked closely with Maryland's receivers, including AP All-American Tai Felton, who led the Big Ten in regular-season receptions and receiving yards and set the school's single-season record with 96 catches. A native of Cincinnati, Ohio, Kief played wide receiver at Alabama from 2014 to 2018 and spent his final three seasons there under Michael Locksley.
