Derek Cody serves as Director of Women's Basketball Video Content for University of Oklahoma's Women's Basketball program in Norman, Oklahoma. Cody joined Oklahoma Athletics in the summer of 2023 and serves as the director of video content for women’s basketball. In his role, Cody produces recruiting and internal content for the program while capturing and creating external and in-venue content in coordination with SoonerVision.
Before arriving at Oklahoma, Cody served as video production manager at Feed the Children from November 2021 to May 2023, where he helped tell the story of the organization’s global impact through visual storytelling. From 2019 to 2021, Cody was the director of video production for Orlando City SC (MLS) and Orlando Pride (NWSL), overseeing content for social media, broadcast, web and in-venue platforms. Prior to his time in Orlando, Cody spent five years at Mississippi State as assistant director for video operations. He produced content across all sports, with primary responsibilities for football and women’s basketball.
