Deion Branch is the assistant coach for wide receivers at the University of Louisville football program in Louisville, Kentucky, a position he was appointed to in February 2025 after three seasons as the Cardinals' director of player development.
Before moving into the wide receivers role, Branch also served as Louisville's interim head coach for the 2022 Wasabi Fenway Bowl and led the program to a 24-7 victory over Cincinnati, giving the school its first bowl win since 2019. His connection to Louisville dates to his playing career, when he was a two-year letterwinner and became one of the most accomplished receivers in program history. After transferring from Jones Community College, he played for the Cardinals in 2000 and 2001 and was one of only three Louisville receivers to post consecutive 1,000-yard seasons. His No. 9 jersey was later honored by the school during the 2010 season.
