DeeDee Morris is an assistant softball coach at the University of Louisville in Louisville, Kentucky, and completed her first season with the Cardinals in 2024. Louisville finished 27-25 overall and 8-16 in ACC play that year, placing 11th in the conference. Despite injuries and a schedule ranked No. 28 nationally in strength, the Cardinals recorded four wins over Top 25 opponents, including ACC champion and Women's College World Series participant Duke. Louisville also turned 21 double plays, a total that ranked third in the ACC and seventh in program history. Riley Frizell earned NFCA All-Southeast Region first-team honors, and Frizell and Daisy Hess were both named All-ACC third team.
Morris arrived at Louisville after eight seasons as an assistant coach at Mount St. Joseph University from 2015 through 2023. There she worked with recruiting, infielders and hitters and was part of one of the most successful stretches in program history. Mount St. Joseph posted a 201-98-1 record during her tenure, recorded four straight 30-win seasons from 2019 to 2023 excluding the 2020 COVID year, won two Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference regular-season titles and two tournament championships, and made back-to-back NCAA appearances. The program captured its first Division III NCAA regional championship and regional win, advanced to a super regional, and produced a program-best 35-7 record in 2019. In 2023, the Lions went 31-13, finished as HCAC tournament runner-up, ended the season ranked No. 23 in the NFCA poll, and ranked among Division III national leaders in home runs and fielding percentage.
