Dawn Shockley is the head coach of the Oregon State women’s golf program, where she has led the team since 2016 and overseen the most successful era in program history. During her tenure, the Beavers have captured multiple team titles, achieved consistent national rankings, and made eight consecutive NCAA Regional appearances. Under her leadership, Oregon State has also reached the NCAA National Championships multiple times, marking a significant milestone for a program that had rarely reached that stage prior to her arrival. Shockley has coached numerous standout players, including All-Americans and conference award winners, while guiding the team to record-breaking performances in scoring averages and tournament results. Her efforts were recognized with West Coast Conference Coach of the Year honors following a standout 2024–25 season.
Before becoming head coach, Shockley served as an assistant at Oregon State, helping lay the foundation for the program’s rise. A former standout collegiate golfer at the University of Denver, she was a three-time all-conference selection and an NCAA Regional champion, later earning All-America honors. She went on to compete professionally on the Symetra Tour and the Ladies European Tour, gaining valuable experience at the highest levels of the sport. Known for her technical expertise and leadership, Shockley has built a culture of excellence that emphasizes both competitive success and academic achievement. Her impact continues to elevate Oregon State women’s golf on the national stage while developing well-rounded student-athletes.
