David Sheets is the head coach of women's swimming and diving at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and enters his 26th season leading the program in 2026-27.
Sheets has directed one of the most successful stretches in school history. Duquesne won back-to-back Atlantic 10 championships in 2018 and 2019, the first league titles for the program, and has remained a regular contender at the conference meet. The Dukes recorded 12 straight top-four finishes at the Atlantic 10 Championships, including second-place finishes in 2021 and 2022, third-place results in 2025 and 2026, and fourth-place showings in 2023 and 2024. He was named Atlantic 10 Coach of the Year three times, first in 2015 and again after the 2018 and 2019 title seasons.
