David Fischer is the pitching coach for the University of Rhode Island baseball team in Kingston, Rhode Island. He was appointed to that position in July 2021 after joining Raphael Cerrato's staff as a volunteer assistant in September 2017 and later serving as director of operations. The 2024-25 year marked his eighth season with the program.
At Rhode Island, Fischer has coached multiple All-Atlantic 10 selections, including Mike Webb, Ryan Andrade, Trystan Levesque, and Joe Sabbath, and has also seen Braeden Perry and Evan Maloney earn conference All-Rookie recognition. Before arriving at URI, he coached the Springvale Lions in Melbourne, Australia, during the 2017 season and previously worked with the Farm AAU program in Waltham, Massachusetts.
