Dave Updegraff is Towson University's assistant quarterbacks coach for the football program in Towson, Maryland, beginning with the 2026 season. He joined Towson after four years at Coastal Carolina University, where he served as an undergraduate student assistant and was part of teams that reached bowl games in each of those seasons while posting a combined 29 victories.
At Coastal Carolina, Updegraff worked as an offensive manager from 2022 to 2023 before moving into an offensive student assistant and assistant tight ends coach role from 2024 to 2025. His duties included equipment preparation, practice drills, scouting, film breakdown, and assembling an offensive run playbook. He graduated from Coastal Carolina in December 2025 with a business administration degree and cum laude honors.
