Dave Giffard is the head coach of the Virginia Commonwealth University men's soccer program in Richmond, Virginia, a position he has held since 2010. He completed his 14th season with the Rams after the 2023 campaign and carried a 116-98-46 overall record at VCU.
Giffard has led VCU to sustained success in Atlantic 10 play, compiling a 57-20-22 conference mark and guiding the Rams to league championship-match appearances in 2012, 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2023. His teams won A-10 regular-season titles in 2018 and 2023. VCU also reached the NCAA Tournament in 2012, 2013, and 2017 under his direction. The 2012 team earned a No. 14 national seed and the 2017 team received a No. 16 seed, with both squads advancing to the second round.
