Darrin McBroom serves as Head Coach for Drake University's Volleyball program in Des Moines, Iowa. McBroom is slated to begin his 13th season at the helm of the Drake volleyball program coming into the 2025 season. McBroom comes into 2025 with a career record of 196-179 during his tenure in Des Moines.
McBroom has guided the Bulldogs to be one of the perennial top teams in the Missouri Valley Conference posting winning seasons four of the last five years (2020-24). In each of the past three seasons (2022-24), McBroom and the Bulldogs have won at least 20 games. During the 2024 season, McBroom saw five members of his squad garner All-MVC recognition including Co-Player of the Year Macy Daufeldt and Co-Libero of the Year Jada Wills. McBroom led his 2023 squad to a 30-8 record, the most wins in team history, and an MVC Championship appearance.
