Dan Reilly joined the NJIT men’s volleyball coaching staff in October 2020, serving as an assistant coach under head coach Danny Goncalves. Since arriving in Newark, Reilly has contributed to on-court instruction, video analysis, scouting, and player development for the Highlanders, supporting a program that has achieved national rankings and milestone victories during his tenure.
Reilly came to NJIT after working at Ohio State University, where he served as a volunteer assistant coach for the men’s volleyball program and previously as the video coordinator for the women’s program in 2018. Prior to Ohio State, he spent time at the University of Charleston, assisting both the men’s and women’s volleyball programs. While working with the women’s team from 2016 to 2018, he helped guide the program to a 42–29 overall record and a second-place finish in the Mountain East Conference, coaching three First Team All-MEC players. With the men’s team in 2018, Reilly contributed to a program-record 16 wins and a 5–9 mark in EIVA play, providing skill instruction, film breakdown, and detailed scouting reports.
