Danielle Santos Atkinson is the head coach of the Hofstra University women's basketball team in Hempstead, New York, and entered her seventh season leading the program in 2025-26. Hofstra named her the 12th head coach in program history on April 13, 2019.
Under Santos Atkinson, Hofstra has produced a series of notable conference and postseason results. In 2024-25, the Pride went 14-16 overall and 9-9 in the CAA, earning the No. 9 seed in the conference tournament. That team ranked among the nation's leaders in three-point defense, holding opponents to 26.7 percent from long range, and also stood out on the glass and in field goal defense. Freshman forward LaNae' Corbett was selected to the CAA All-Rookie Team, while the program also earned recognition for its academic performance from the Women's Basketball Coaches Association and placed Emma Von Essen on the CSC Academic All-District Team.
