Daniel Boice
Assistant Coach
Daniel Boice enters his third season with the Florida Gators in 2025–26, having joined Kelly Rae Finley’s staff in the summer of 2023. He began his tenure at UF as the Director of Player Development and was promoted to Assistant Coach in May 2023. In his first year, Boice was instrumental in bringing WNBA All-Star and SEC legend Rhyne Howard onto the Gators’ coaching staff, further strengthening the program. His reputation for developing players and his leadership both on and off the court continue to play a central role in the growth of Florida women’s basketball. Prior to Florida, Boice spent seven seasons at the University of Kentucky as Director of Player Development and served as interim assistant coach during the 2020–21 season. At Kentucky, he played a pivotal role in the development of Rhyne Howard, the 2021 No. 1 WNBA Draft pick, and helped guide the Wildcats to four NCAA Tournament appearances and the 2021–22 SEC Tournament title. Boice began his career at Arizona as a student manager before being promoted to video coordinator, later earning degrees in Education and Educational Leadership. He also played one season at Dordt College before transitioning into coaching, where he focused on player development, recruiting, and camp coordination.
