Dan Goettner is an assistant coach for Temple University men's rowing in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, a position he has held since 2011. He has been part of the staff during the program's return to national prominence, and in one recent season his freshman eight won gold in its final race at the Dad Vail Regatta.
Before joining Temple, Goettner coached at Saint Joseph's. He began there as an assistant in 2003-04 and helped the freshman lightweight eight win gold at the 2004 Dad Vail Regatta. He later coached the freshman heavyweight eight to Dad Vail titles in 2006 and 2010 and a bronze medal in 2007, while the freshman lightweight eight added titles in 2005 and 2006 and a silver medal in 2010. He served as Saint Joseph's interim head coach in 2011.
