Dan Fisher is the head volleyball coach at the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where he has led the program to the most successful run in school history. Through 13 seasons with the Panthers, he has compiled a 350-74 record and a .825 winning percentage, putting him among the few Division I women's volleyball coaches to top .800 through their first 10 seasons and making him the first to do so in the 21st century. In April 2026, Pittsburgh announced a contract extension that keeps him in charge through at least the 2031 season.
Under Fisher, Pitt has won seven ACC championships in a nine-year span, claiming league titles in 2017, 2018, 2019, 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025. The Panthers have reached the NCAA Tournament in 10 straight seasons from 2016 through 2025, posted 12 consecutive top-50 RPI finishes from 2014 through 2025, and earned the highest national ranking and NCAA Tournament seed in program history with a No. 1 ranking in 2024. Pitt also hosted NCAA Tournament matches at the Petersen Events Center multiple times during his tenure, including in 2018, 2019, and from 2021 through 2025.
